Lebap Farmers Anticipate Bountiful Crop Harvests

Post by : Shakul

Farmers in the Lebap region are gearing up for a fruitful harvest this year, bolstered by extensive agricultural activities throughout the area. The emphasis remains on vital food crops like wheat, onions, and various vegetables that cater to local needs and contribute to the national food supply.

Projected plans for 2026 indicate that spring wheat has been sown over 1,400 hectares, with anticipated yields around 19,600 tons. Careful pre-sowing preparations and the selection of high-quality seeds tailored to the local soil and climate have been crucial in promoting robust crop growth.

Farmers have adopted advanced farming techniques, including timely irrigation, inter-row cultivation, and the application of both organic and mineral fertilizers. These initiatives are pivotal in enhancing crop quality and maximizing yield. The aim is to boost productivity per hectare through diligent and precise farming methods.

Various districts within the region are making noteworthy contributions to overall production. The Chardjow district has dedicated substantial tracts of land to crop growing, anticipating significant produce volumes. Other districts, including Danev, Sayat, and Kerki, are also experiencing gratifying agricultural outcomes and progressing steadily in crop management.

Onion farming has also become a primary initiative this season, with around 900 hectares set aside for spring onions, projecting a yield of around 22,500 tons. Farmers have been proactive in overseeing the care and maintenance of these crops, which is promoting vigorous growth across the fields.

Areas like Dovletli and Chardjow are taking the lead in onion yield, sustaining extensive cultivation and setting ambitious yield goals for the season. The methodical approach and dedication of farmers have yielded encouraging results thus far.

As the harvesting season nears, the wheat, onion, and vegetable fields display promising indications of a fruitful yield. The unwavering efforts of farmers are testament to their dedication to agriculture, and the region is on track to achieve its production aims with a rich and rewarding harvest.
