ADGM Academy, Mawaheb Expand Skills Partnership for 2026

Post by : Bianca Haleem

ADGM Academy (ADGMA), the knowledge arm of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), and Mawaheb Talent Hub, enabled by the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE), have announced a major expansion of their strategic partnership to support the UAE’s evolving labour market needs.

Under the expanded 2026 agenda, the partnership will introduce new industry-aligned programmes in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. These programmes are designed to equip Emiratis with future-ready skills that match rapidly changing market demands and emerging skill requirements.

The new programmes include the Software Development Accelerator Programme, Technology Infrastructure Programme, and Strategic Business Intelligence Programme, focusing on high-growth and technology-driven sectors.

In 2026, ADGM Academy and Mawaheb will also strengthen their efforts to improve employability within government and semi-government entities. The focus is not only on job creation but on building long-term, sustainable, and impactful careers for Emiratis.

As part of this collaboration, ADGM Academy aims to secure 620 job placements in 2026 across diversified sectors that support the UAE’s economic and technological growth.

The expanded partnership builds on the success of joint efforts since 2022, which have created more than 1,000 specialised jobs in key sectors such as banking, digital services, auditing, insurance, consultancy, and taxation.

Through the ADGM Academy Job Centre, over 4,500 UAE nationals have been upskilled, reskilled, and placed into sustainable jobs, with more than 1,000 candidates placed annually. Around 61 percent of these placements directly benefited Abu Dhabi’s labour market.

Ali Al Mehairi, Senior Executive Director at ADGM Academy, said the partnership is based on measurable success and supports the UAE’s vision for a knowledge-based economy by driving sustainable human capital development.

Dr. Abdulla Al Shimmari, Executive Director of National Workforce Enablement at DGE and Mawaheb Talent Hub, said the collaboration ensures Emirati talent has a clear and accelerated pathway to sustainable employment in priority sectors.
