Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani — have returned together for Mastiii 4, the newest entry in the adult-comedy series. The freshly released trailer leans into slapstick, nostalgia and the franchise's trademark raucous humour.
Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, the film sees the trio back as their familiar characters Amar, Meet and Prem. Though older, the actors aim to revive the quick-fire banter and chaotic situations that defined earlier instalments.
The cast shared the trailer on Instagram, noting the film's tone and its release date on 21st November. The post drew rapid attention online, with long-time viewers marking the return of the franchise that began in 2004.
A reunion filled with laughter
Riteish Deshmukh said the shoot felt like a reunion. He described Mastiii 4 as riotously funny with an unexpected twist, adding that working again with Vivek and Aftab brought back a lot of on-set laughter.
Vivek Oberoi called the trailer only a glimpse of the film's larger mayhem and praised the trio's chemistry. Aftab Shivdasani, a returning cast member since the original, emphasised the enduring camaraderie and timing that fuel the comedy.
Director’s full circle moment
Milap Milan Zaveri, who wrote the earlier Masti films, has taken on directing duties for the fourth instalment. He described the shift from writer to director as a full-circle moment and said the movie amplifies the humour and antics beyond what the trailer reveals.
Star-studded cast, familiar madness
Alongside the central trio, Mastiii 4 features Shreya Sharma, Ruhii Singh, Elnaaz Norouzi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shaad Randhawa and Nishant Malkani in key roles. The film is produced by A. Jhunjhunwala and Shikha Karan Ahluwalia under Waveband Production and Zee Studios, with involvement from Maruti International and Balaji Telefilms.
Mastiii 4 is scheduled for release in theatres on November 21 and aims to deliver the same over-the-top comic energy that has defined the franchise.
