1,100 Children Join Ministry’s Annual Summer Learning Program

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has successfully completed its annual summer program for children, bringing together more than 1,100 participants between the ages of 10 and 15. The program was held at 10 religious outreach centers across the country and aimed to provide young people with meaningful educational and personal development opportunities during the summer break.

Program Focused on Learning and Personal Growth

The summer initiative was designed to help children spend their vacation in a productive way by strengthening their understanding of Islamic values, improving life skills, encouraging Quranic learning, and supporting the development of their individual talents. The program forms part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to promote the balanced educational, social, and personal growth of young people.

Participants took part in a learning environment that combined educational sessions with interactive activities. The approach helped children build positive social skills while encouraging stronger connections with their families and local communities.

Ministry Highlights Educational Objectives

Dr. Ahmed Al Farjabi, an educational expert at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, said the program was created to ensure young people use their free time in a beneficial way by strengthening Islamic values and developing important life skills.

He explained that the initiative reflects the ministry's continued commitment to supporting both the educational and personal development of children and young people.

Dr. Al Farjabi also praised parents for encouraging their children to participate in educational and enrichment activities, recognizing their important role in helping achieve the ministry's educational goals.

Outstanding Participants and Partners Recognized

The closing ceremony included a recognition event led by Moaz Yousef Al Qasimi, Head of the Religious Guidance Section. During the ceremony, outstanding participants were honored for their achievements throughout the program.

Partner organizations that contributed to the success of the initiative were also recognized. These included Al Khor Sports Club, Al Ahli Sports Club, and the Ministry's Scholarships Department.

Activities Covered Quranic Learning and Life Skills

This year's summer program included a range of educational and skills-development activities designed specifically for young participants. The curriculum focused on Quranic teachings while promoting important social values and everyday life skills.

Topics covered during the program included respect for parents and elders, proper behavior in mosques, effective time management, positive social interaction, and the responsible use of social media.
