Oman Launches Free 14-Day Tourist Visa for Eligible Visitors

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Sultanate of Oman has introduced a new 14-day tourist visa that will be available free of charge for citizens of countries approved by the competent authorities.

The decision was issued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and published in Issue No. 1659 of the Official Gazette. It adds a new category to Oman's tourist visa system, giving eligible visitors the opportunity to obtain a 14-day tourist visa upon request.

Free Visa for Eligible Applicants

Under the new decision, applicants who meet the conditions and procedures set by the competent authority will be able to receive the 14-day tourist visa without paying any visa fees.

The decision also updates the schedule of entry visa fees by officially exempting this newly introduced tourist visa from all charges, making it completely free for eligible travelers.

Visa Issued According to Approved Procedures

The Royal Oman Police stated that the free 14-day tourist visa will be granted based on the conditions and procedures determined by the competent authority. Only citizens of countries designated under the new decision will be eligible to apply for the visa.

The introduction of the new visa category forms part of the latest amendments to Oman's tourist visa system as published in the Official Gazette.
