Post by : Bianca Haleem

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan conducted a visit to the Al Ain Police Directorate to evaluate critical security initiatives and emergency preparedness measures meant to bolster public safety throughout Al Ain.

During this inspection, His Highness reviewed various development programs and strategic initiatives implemented by the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, focusing on crime deterrence, drug control, and the integration of artificial intelligence within the Safe City System.

Officials presented insights on how AI technologies enhance policing operations, leading to better field performance, data analysis, and predicting potential criminal behaviour. This system also aids in efforts to lower traffic-related fatalities and improve collaboration among security agencies and strategic partners.

Additionally, His Highness scrutinized the Security Incident Management System, which optimizes coordination among pertinent agencies during emergencies and security challenges. This system aims to enhance decision-making speed and boost field response efficacy while adhering to high standards of readiness and professionalism.

He received a comprehensive briefing from the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Centre regarding preparedness strategies and collaborative efforts with strategic partners. The briefing underscored readiness measures for handling adverse weather scenarios in the Al Ain Region and laid out proactive plans aimed at improving response times, safeguarding lives and assets, and ensuring continuous service delivery.

His Highness also assessed field operations at civil defence centres managed by the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority. Officials discussed the authority's capability to handle emergency calls and incidents, alongside ongoing initiatives to enhance public safety and response times.

A presentation highlighting the advanced coordination strategies between civil defence teams and related authorities was also provided. The briefing emphasized the adoption of smart technologies and innovative systems to improve rescue, firefighting, and ambulance operations, ensuring rapid emergency response.

His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated the necessity of expanding the application of advanced technologies and AI in the policing and emergency response sectors. He acknowledged that these initiatives are crucial for safeguarding lives and properties, augmenting preventive measures, and enhancing the operational efficiency of security services according to international best practices.

His Highness commended the professionalism and skills exhibited by personnel from Al Ain Police Directorate, Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, and the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Centre. He also stressed the need for ongoing enhancement of safety, security, and emergency preparedness frameworks throughout the region.

Joining His Highness during the visit were Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoon Al Muhairi, and other esteemed officials and officers.
