His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain, has reviewed the progress of major housing projects in Al Ain, aimed at improving citizens’ quality of life and building sustainable communities.
During his visit to the Al Nabbagh housing project, His Highness directed that it be renamed Al Metlaa. He also reviewed the ongoing developments and completion rates of several housing projects managed by the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC).
The tour began at phase one of the Al Aamerah housing project, implemented by IMKAN Properties under ADHA supervision. Spanning 5.94 square kilometres, this first phase includes 2,350 residential units valued at AED 8 billion. Scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2028, it features four mosques, three schools, two early learning centres, a fuel station, two majlises, and 10 retail outlets, offering a fully integrated living environment.
His Highness also visited the model villa at Al Metlaa (formerly Al Nabbagh), developed by Bloom Holding with ADHA and ADPIC supervision. Covering 5.1 square kilometres, the project will provide 2,236 residential villas valued at AED 8 billion, expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2028. Citizens with ADHA housing loans can purchase villas ranging from three to six bedrooms, designed with contemporary and Andalusian architecture.
Al Metlaa will include a comprehensive range of facilities such as four schools, three mosques, a health and fitness club, a nursery, healthcare centres, restaurants, cafes, and commercial spaces, ensuring residents enjoy a high standard of living.
His Highness Sheikh Hazza emphasized that integrated housing projects are key to enhancing citizens’ wellbeing, strengthening family and social stability, and building sustainable communities. He highlighted that these initiatives align with the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide modern housing within fully integrated residential areas.
Accompanying His Highness were prominent officials, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa (Chairman of ADHA and ADPIC), Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi (Director-General of ADHA), Rashed Musabbeh Al Manei (Director-General of Al Ain Municipality), and Eng Maysarah Mahmoud Eid (Director-General of ADPIC).
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa said the projects reflect the leadership’s commitment to social stability and providing modern homes within integrated communities. Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi added that these projects meet citizens’ housing needs through the “Expression of Interest” service, allowing families to select suitable homes. Eng Maysarah Mahmoud Eid highlighted ADPIC’s focus on advanced infrastructure and sustainable residential environments to enhance quality of life in Al Ain and across Abu Dhabi.
