Salt Lake City Funeral Shooting 2 Dead 8 Victims LDS Chapel

Salt Lake City, Utah — Two people were killed and several others wounded in a shooting at a venue connected to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Wednesday night, police said.

According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, at least eight people were affected in the incident. Two victims later succumbed to their injuries, while the conditions of the others have not yet been disclosed.

Authorities said at least one suspect escaped the scene, prompting a search operation. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

The shooting took place at an LDS Church-related location. Officials have not released details on the motive behind the attack or the identities of those involved. The investigation remains ongoing, and police said further updates will be provided as they become available.
