New Delhi is gearing up to host the 17th India Art Fair in February 2026, featuring an impressive lineup with a record 123 exhibitors. This year's event promises to be more extensive and diverse, with prominent galleries participating from both India and worldwide, including notable names such as David Zwirner and Carpenters Workshop Gallery.
Running from February 5 to 8 at the NSIC Exhibition Grounds, the fair will comprise 87 galleries and 24 leading art institutions, alongside a dedicated Design segment showcasing creativity from 12 design studios and two galleries, underscoring the fair's expanding global influence.
Notable Indian galleries like Gallery Espace, Emami Art, and Project 88 will present unique and contemporary works. Meanwhile, international galleries such as 1x1 Art Gallery, Saskia Fernando Gallery, and Grosvenor Gallery will display significant pieces from acclaimed global artists.
Fair Director Jaya Asokan expressed, “This 17th edition signifies a pivotal moment for the fair. With the highest number of exhibitors so far and a diverse global lineup, India Art Fair continues to serve as a vital junction for the world art community in South Asia.”
After its successful debut, the Design section returns, highlighting innovative designs from studios like Ashiesh Shah and Chanakya School of Craft, along with a unique collaboration with the French Institute that features designer Marie Gastini exploring contemporary Indian textile techniques.
The Focus section will spotlight solo presentations, showcasing artists such as Bharti Kher and Ravinder Reddy. Major outdoor projects will include Kulpreet Singh's site-specific installations, and renowned artist Judy Chicago will invite audience engagement with her piece, “What If Women Ruled the World? Participatory Quilt.”
Additionally, Serendipity Arts will present “The Charpai Project” by Ayush Kasliwal, featuring a digital twist by artist Goji. Special exhibitions from institutions like the Sabyasachi Art Foundation will include works by emerging talents, and the Australian High Commission will showcase indigenous artist Grace Lillian Lee's sculptures.
With its record number of exhibitors and extensive array of exhibitions, the 17th India Art Fair is set to be a landmark celebration of contemporary art, design, and cross-cultural interactions in India, offering visitors a distinctive chance to engage with rare artworks and artists from around the world.
