Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai, UAE:

AmSpec Group, a global leader in inspection, testing, and certification services, has officially opened a new Agri & Food laboratory in Dubai, strengthening its long-term commitment to the UAE’s growing agricultural and food sectors.

The new facility is located at Dubai Science Park, a leading science-focused business hub under TECOM Group PJSC. The laboratory will provide advanced analytical testing services for agricultural commodities, animal feed, and food & beverage products, supporting rising food safety regulations, international trade requirements, and quality standards in the region.

According to Valentin Rossel, Executive Vice President of AmSpec’s Agri & Food Division, the Dubai laboratory is a major step in bringing high-quality testing and certification services closer to clients across the Middle East. He said the investment reflects AmSpec’s commitment to precision testing, transparency, and global quality standards.

Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, welcomed AmSpec to the community, stating that science-driven innovation is essential for strengthening food security and sustainable agricultural value chains. He added that the new laboratory supports the goals of Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and We the UAE 2031.

The laboratory operates 24/7 and is staffed by over 30 trained analysts and technical experts. It is equipped with advanced technologies to conduct testing for:

  • Pesticide residues

  • Mycotoxins

  • Drug and antibiotic residues

  • Heavy metals

  • Genetic and molecular testing for transgenics and biological contaminants

With this expansion, AmSpec continues to grow its global network, offering integrated inspection and certification solutions that ensure food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance across international supply chains.

Dubai Science Park hosts global science leaders such as AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Ingredion Middle East, and Chr. Hansen, and supports more than 6,500 professionals, further positioning Dubai as a regional hub for scientific innovation and global trade.
