Morgan Stanley Becomes ADX's First Remote Trading Member

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has welcomed Morgan Stanley as its inaugural international Remote Trading Member, facilitating direct trading access for Morgan Stanley's global clientele on ADX.

This pivotal development underscores ADX's commitment to enhancing global connectivity and addresses the increasing interest from international institutional investors eager to explore UAE markets. ADX's rapid growth continues to position it among the world’s fastest-growing stock exchanges in terms of market capitalisation.

With its remote trading membership, Morgan Stanley can now provide direct access to ADX via its global trading platform, improving trading efficiencies and execution quality, while granting enhanced control over the trading process.

Supporting Abu Dhabi's strategic economic vision, ADX aims to foster a diversified, innovation-driven economy, and Morgan Stanley's entry further solidifies the UAE's appeal to global investors.

Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group CEO of ADX, emphasized that this collaboration supports their aspiration of creating a premier global financial marketplace. He noted strong foreign investor engagement, with trading values surpassing AED 85 billion in the first quarter of 2026, a remarkable 22% increase from the previous year.

Patrick Delivanis, Regional Co-Head of MENA at Morgan Stanley, remarked that joining ADX illustrates the firm's dedication to delivering efficient access to Abu Dhabi's capital markets, reflecting the rising international interest in UAE investments.

The partnership is set to follow an established international trading paradigm, aimed at ensuring transparent and seamless entry into investment avenues available on ADX.

Morgan Stanley’s membership is aligned with ADX's broader strategy to enhance global access and attract premium international investments. In 2025, foreign investment surged by nearly 14% in ADX, with a 10% increase in institutional trading.

Morgan Stanley is poised to commence trading as a remote member on ADX in the coming weeks, pending final operational readiness.
