SUBCON Thailand 2026 Set to Transform Global Trade Networks

Post by : Shakul

The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) is gearing up for SUBCON Thailand 2026, the region's premier industrial parts exhibition, taking place from May 13 to May 16, 2026, at the BITEC Bangna Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok. Organized in partnership with the Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association and Informa Markets, the event seeks to bolster Thailand's role in the global industrial supply chain while opening significant business opportunities for local manufacturers and international counterparts.

This marks the 20th installment of SUBCON Thailand, themed “Sourcing Innovation Shaping Tomorrow.” The exhibition is anticipated to be a cornerstone for industrial business interactions in Southeast Asia. According to the BOI, it will serve as a catalyst to connect Thai firms with top global industries, nurturing sustainable partnerships in automotive, electronics, robotics, aerospace, medical devices, and advanced manufacturing.

Mr. Narut Teodsathirasak, BOI Secretary-General, announced that the exhibition will host 239 industrial parts manufacturers from around the globe, with 154 being Thai companies. The initiative aims to enhance Thai businesses' capabilities and fortify industrial supply chains within ASEAN, vying for Thailand's position as the regional hub for parts sourcing and subcontracting.

The exhibition is set to attract over 90 domestic and international buyers from 14 countries, including Japan, South Korea, and the UK. Organizers anticipate more than 9,000 business matching sessions, with potential automotive parts transactions exceeding 20 billion baht, solidifying its status as a significant trade event this year.

A key highlight of SUBCON Thailand 2026 will be the Innovation Showcase, where businesses will unveil cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and industrial solutions. The showcase will emphasize Smart and Green Technology designed to boost efficiency while minimizing environmental impact. Attendees will have the chance to discover advancements in energy management, automation, smart manufacturing, and digital technologies.

Noteworthy innovations include the Smart Energy Management Platform by PTT Digital, which integrates IoT, AI, and energy analytics to enhance efficiency and reduce carbon footprints in industrial settings. Additionally, sensor technologies from the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) will be showcased, supporting data accuracy and automating production systems.

Alongside the exhibition, the BOI will host 17 specialized seminars for Thai entrepreneurs and industry leaders, focused on investment prospects, target industries, and navigating the digital economy. These sessions are designed to equip businesses to adapt to the fast-evolving global manufacturing landscape.

The BOI Symposium 2026 will also be a focal point, discussing “Thailand Driving Toward Smart and Green Mobility.” The symposium will delve into the future of Thailand’s automotive sector, particularly in electric vehicle transitions and sustainable transportation. Mr. Narut Teodsathirasak will provide insights into smart mobility policies, while Mr. Zhang Yongwei, President of China EV100, will outline global electric vehicle development trends.

Panel discussions will include leaders from EVAT, BYD, Isuzu, Bosch, Autoliv, and Bulletrux, highlighting technology innovation, supply chain development, and Thailand’s contribution to the automotive landscape. The BOI is confident that SUBCON Thailand 2026 will aid Thai manufacturers in forming vital connections with global companies, paving the way for integration into the international industrial supply chain.
