Vietnam's 2026 High School Exams Forecasted to Show Stability

Vietnam's 2026 High School Exams Forecasted to Show Stability

Post by : Shakul

In Vietnam, education experts forecast that the overall score distribution for the 2026 high school graduation exams will largely mirror that of the previous year. They note that no significant changes have been made to the exam structure or question formats, suggesting that substantial score fluctuations on a national level are improbable.

Possible Improvement in Mathematics Scores

Most predictions indicate that Mathematics scores will generally range between 5 and 7 points, with the national average expected between 5.8 and 6.2. Teachers mention that the exam will assess both fundamental concepts and practical problem-solving, affording average students a chance to pass while also challenging high achievers.

Strong Performance Anticipated in Literature and History

Literature is projected to remain a high-scoring subject, with students likely scoring between 7.5 and 8.5 points. Additionally, History may see a modest uptick, with expected averages of 6.5 to 7 points, thanks to a balanced combination of basic and analytical inquiries.

Chemistry Scores Might Slightly Decline

Experts suggest that Chemistry may experience a small drop in average scores when compared to 2025. The exam will emphasize practical applications and experiments, requiring students to think critically instead of relying solely on rote memorization.

Stable English Performance Expected

In the English examination, scores are anticipated to stay within the 5.5 to 6 point range. Many students found this year’s exam more manageable, benefiting from lessons learned in the previous cycle.

Little Change in University Admission Scores

Given that the score distribution is expected to remain stable, experts believe there won’t be significant changes to university admission cut-off marks. Variations would only arise if universities adjust their admission quotas or selection practices.
