The city of Riyadh has once again become the center of media and technology innovation with the launch of the 10th edition of Media Oasis. The Ministry of Media, in partnership with the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST), officially opened the event on Sunday. This year’s Media Oasis is taking place at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center (KAICC) and will continue until September 3, 2025.
What makes this edition even more special is that it is being held alongside the Global Symposium for Regulators 2025 (GSR-25), which brings together international leaders and experts in regulation, technology, and digital transformation.
Event Scale and Facilities
The 10th Media Oasis is bigger and more advanced than ever before. It spans an area of over 4,000 square meters and is equipped with the latest modern technologies to provide a high-quality experience for both exhibitors and visitors.
The event has been designed to welcome more than 3,000 international and local visitors, including industry professionals, technology specialists, regulators, and media enthusiasts. Each area of the event has been carefully planned to give visitors opportunities to explore, learn, and engage with Saudi Arabia’s digital journey.
Dedicated Zones for Visitors
One of the strengths of Media Oasis is its well-organized layout, divided into specialized zones that each focus on different themes. These zones include exhibition spaces, interactive installations, media services, and live broadcast areas.
By creating separate sections, the event makes it easier for visitors to experience a wide range of activities. From traditional media presentations to futuristic digital tools, each zone has something unique to offer.
Oasis Valley Zone: A Live Media Hub
Among the most popular areas this year is the Oasis Valley Zone. This zone acts as a live media hub where visitors can watch live broadcasts of the event’s key moments, including the opening ceremony of GSR-25 and other major sessions.
It is not just about watching live coverage. The zone also allows participants to engage with specialized media and technology services, making it a center of activity for journalists, broadcasters, and digital creators.
Oasis Exhibition Zone: Vision 2030 in Action
Another major highlight is the Oasis Exhibition Zone, which focuses on Saudi Arabia’s transformative projects under Vision 2030. Here, visitors can see how the Kingdom is linking its ambitious national goals with digital transformation initiatives.
The exhibition features immersive booths that showcase the latest regulatory technologies (RegTech). Visitors can interact with tools and systems that are shaping the future of digital governance. The zone also includes four fully equipped studios designed for both local and international TV networks, ensuring global media coverage of the event.
The Digital Bridge: A Groundbreaking Feature
Perhaps the most talked-about innovation at this year’s Media Oasis is the launch of “The Digital Bridge”. This is an interactive visual installation that simulates the Kingdom’s journey of digital transformation.
The experience allows visitors to walk through a creative timeline of Saudi Arabia’s technological and civilizational evolution. It connects the nation’s cultural heritage with its digital future, showing how progress has been shaped by innovation and how it will continue to grow.
The Digital Bridge not only entertains but also educates. It helps both Saudi citizens and international visitors understand the scale of the Kingdom’s transformation under Vision 2030.
Showcasing Saudi Arabia’s Digital Future
The entire theme of Media Oasis 2025 is built around the Kingdom’s digital future. Through interactive zones, installations, and exhibitions, the event paints a picture of how Saudi Arabia is becoming a leader in digital innovation.
From artificial intelligence to advanced broadcasting technologies, every part of the exhibition shows the strong link between human progress and digital development. The event demonstrates that Saudi Arabia is not only keeping pace with global innovation but also helping to set new standards in media and technology.
Role of Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-25)
Running side by side with Media Oasis is the Global Symposium for Regulators 2025 (GSR-25). This international event gathers policymakers, regulators, and technology leaders from around the world.
By holding both events together, Saudi Arabia creates an environment where ideas about digital regulation and innovation can be shared and discussed. Visitors and participants can move between Media Oasis and GSR-25, gaining insights from both the practical side of digital transformation and the regulatory discussions shaping the future.
A Platform for Specialists and Enthusiasts
While Media Oasis has global appeal, it also plays an important role locally by engaging Saudi professionals and young enthusiasts. The event provides opportunities for media students, digital startups, and local creators to connect with international experts.
This mix of participants helps to build a knowledge-sharing environment where learning is just as important as showcasing. Specialists can demonstrate their work, while enthusiasts gain inspiration for their own future projects.
Focus on Innovation and Interaction
Unlike traditional exhibitions, Media Oasis puts strong emphasis on interaction. Every booth and zone has been designed to be hands-on and immersive. Visitors are encouraged to not only watch but also participate, whether by testing new digital tools, joining live broadcasts, or walking through virtual simulations.
This focus on participation ensures that visitors leave the event not just informed, but also inspired by what they have seen and experienced.
Linking Past, Present, and Future
One of the deeper messages of Media Oasis 2025 is the connection between Saudi Arabia’s past, present, and future. By blending cultural heritage with modern technology, the event shows that innovation is not separate from tradition—it grows from it.
Through exhibits like The Digital Bridge, visitors see how the Kingdom’s journey has been built step by step. This message reinforces the importance of Vision 2030 as a guiding plan for progress.
A Global and Local Success Story
By the time the event ends on September 3, 2025, Media Oasis will have welcomed thousands of participants and showcased hundreds of projects. The event stands as both a global success story—attracting worldwide attention—and a local achievement that strengthens national pride.
It highlights Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in the fields of media, technology, and digital transformation, confirming the Kingdom’s position as a hub for innovation in the Middle East and beyond.
Media Oasis 2025 Defines the Future
The 10th edition of Media Oasis is more than just an exhibition. It is a bold statement about Saudi Arabia’s role in shaping the future of digital media and technology. With its dedicated zones, interactive experiences, and groundbreaking Digital Bridge installation, the event sets a new benchmark for exhibitions in the region.
By aligning with Vision 2030, engaging both global and local audiences, and showcasing the power of digital transformation, Media Oasis 2025 demonstrates how innovation can bring people together while building a stronger, smarter future.
