The Sakinah Art Exhibition was recently held in Dubai at Mehromah Art House from 23rd to 29th August 2025. The event was organized by Art4you Gallery and curated by Jesno Jackson. The word Sakinah means tranquillity or spiritual peace in Arabic, and the theme of the exhibition was Silent Symphony. The purpose was to show how art can become a universal language of peace, unity, and humanity.
The exhibition was not just a display of paintings and sculptures but an atmosphere of calmness and reflection. The gallery space became a sanctuary where visitors could experience the harmony of life, nature, and human connection through art.
Theme And Message Of The Event
The central theme of the exhibition was the connection between land, life, and soul. Artists from around the world presented their works to express how art can capture emotions, identity, and memory. The idea was to show that landscapes, cityscapes, and even abstract images are more than visual scenes — they represent human emotions and experiences.
The message of the exhibition was clear: when artists from different countries and cultures come together, they can create harmony and unity despite their diverse styles.
Diversity Of Artists And Their Works
What made Sakinah special was the wide variety of participating artists. Each artist brought their own unique style, but all followed the same theme of peace and harmony. The exhibition featured paintings, digital art, mixed media, and installations, giving visitors a wide range of creative experiences.
Some artists used bold colors and abstract forms, while others created delicate and realistic scenes. Together, their works gave viewers a chance to see how art can speak in many different voices but still carry the same message of unity.
Emirati And Regional Contributions
Among the featured artists were Emirati and regional talents who reflected the culture and traditions of their homeland. For example, Dr. Muna Balfaqeeh highlighted the soulful depth of Emirati heritage through her works. Her paintings celebrated the connection between tradition, land, and identity.
Similarly, Jamie Samson used cubism pop art to honor heritage and spirit, focusing on strength and unbroken identity. Their works showed how art can keep history alive while still speaking to modern audiences.
International Perspectives In The Exhibition
Artists from outside the region also made powerful contributions. Russian artist Nataliia Venerova, who is based in Dubai, presented paintings of European landscapes. Her works combined stillness, vivid skies, and timeless cities to reflect peace and human connection with nature.
Thomas Antony worked in realism, capturing everyday human moments with almost life-like precision. His art blurred the line between imagination and reality while celebrating human bonds and harmony with the natural world.
Exploring Emotions And Inner Balance
Several artists used their works to explore human emotions and inner balance. Alice Kauer, for example, introduced her Balance and Soul series, which symbolized clarity and emotions. Her art brought a modern interpretation of how people search for harmony inside themselves.
Similarly, Jeevan Oroolu Veettil created landscapes that spoke of reflection and renewal. His paintings encouraged viewers to find stillness within life’s endless journey.
Bold Abstract And Symbolic Works
Abstract and symbolic works also played a major role in the exhibition. Tatiana Lamiri presented fluid abstractions that carried spiritual resonance, while Sherrin Sebin painted peaceful countryside and desert landscapes filled with gentle beauty.
Sisters Rabia and Noreen Nawab explored heritage, resilience, and love through their textured canvases, adding compassion and serenity to the exhibition. Meanwhile, Jana Dambekalne merged design precision with free-flowing art in her mixed media collages, which evoked nostalgia and romanticism.
Surrealism And Symbolic Storytelling
Surrealist storytelling was another highlight. Moosa Alhalyan Samson presented monochrome works that symbolized revolution and resilience, while Nikola Kiraga blended imagination and symbolism in her surrealist paintings.
Gabriel Noronho’s works carried deep cultural symbolism, combining personal journeys with universal themes of soul-searching and poetic culture. These contributions showed how surrealism can be used to explore deep emotions and timeless ideas.
A Collective Symphony Of Voices
In total, fifteen artists came together to form what the exhibition called a Silent Symphony. Each artist used their unique style — from silk paintings to bold surrealist horses — to represent resilience, renewal, strength, and harmony.
Though their techniques were different, they were united in spirit. This unity made the exhibition powerful, showing that art does not need to be confined by language or culture. It can cross boundaries and speak directly to the human soul.
The Role Of Art In Society
The Sakinah Art Exhibition was not just about paintings; it was about the role of art in society. It reminded visitors that art can be a bridge between land and humanity, silence and music, memory and the future.
Art became a way to express shared humanity and bring people together in a peaceful space. For many visitors, the exhibition was a moment of stillness in a busy world.
Closing Of The Exhibition
The exhibition closed on 29th August 2025, leaving a lasting impact on both artists and audiences. It became more than an art show — it became a place of reflection, peace, and shared understanding.
The event proved that art is not only for beauty but also for dialogue and connection. Through creativity, the world’s soul finds a way to speak in harmony.
Art4you Gallery’s Role
Art4you Gallery has once again shown its commitment to building cultural bridges through art. By organizing Sakinah, the gallery created a platform for diverse voices to be heard together.
The gallery continues to nurture new talent, encourage cultural exchange, and provide spaces where creativity can bring people closer. Sakinah is one milestone in this ongoing journey, but it reflects the larger vision of making art a tool for peace and unity.
The Sakinah Art Exhibition in Dubai was a true celebration of peace, unity, and creativity. Through the theme of Silent Symphony, the exhibition showed that despite differences in culture, geography, and style, art can bring people together.
The works of the fifteen artists left visitors inspired, offering them a chance to reconnect with land, life, and soul. More than an art show, Sakinah became a reminder that harmony and peace can be achieved through shared creativity.
