On September 9, 2025, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, met with Tunisia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, in the capital city of Tunis.
The meeting aimed to review and strengthen the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Tunisia. Both ministers emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and joint efforts to promote regional stability and mutual prosperity.
Fourth Session Of Consultation Committee
During the visit, the two ministers co-chaired the fourth session of the Follow-up and Political Consultation Committee between Saudi Arabia and Tunisia. This committee focuses on maintaining open communication, discussing issues of common interest, and addressing regional and international developments.
The session provided an opportunity to evaluate ongoing projects, discuss new areas for cooperation, and ensure both countries remain aligned on diplomatic strategies and international matters.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in diplomatic training was signed. This MoU was established between the Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies and the Diplomatic Academy of the Republic of Tunisia.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute by Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Saqr, and by the Director General of the Diplomatic Academy of Tunisia, Riadh Dridi.
Purpose Of The MoU
The MoU aims to enhance the training of diplomats from both countries. It focuses on knowledge sharing, professional development, and the implementation of best practices in diplomatic services.
Through this cooperation, both Saudi Arabia and Tunisia will benefit from improved diplomatic skills, greater understanding of international relations, and stronger professional networks among diplomats.
Importance Of Diplomatic Cooperation
Prince Faisal stressed that diplomatic training and cooperation are key to maintaining strong bilateral relations.
