A large-scale Russian missile and drone attack has killed at least 18 people across Ukraine, including two children, according to Ukrainian officials. The assault is being described as one of Moscow’s most significant attacks in recent months, with strikes reported in multiple regions and widespread damage to civilian infrastructure.
Air raid sirens sounded across the country as Ukrainian air defenses attempted to intercept incoming missiles and drones.
Residential areas, buildings, and critical infrastructure were among the locations reportedly affected. Russia's Defence Ministry said the strikes were carried out in response to previous Ukrainian attacks and stated that all intended military objectives had been achieved. The latest escalation highlights the continuing intensity of the conflict as both sides exchange long-range strikes.
