Tensions between Russia and Ukraine are escalating once again as reports emerge of Ukrainian strikes targeting multiple locations in Moscow following deadly Russian attacks on a Ukrainian gas production facility.
According to Ukrainian officials, recent Russian missile and drone strikes heavily damaged energy infrastructure and civilian areas, killing at least five people, including emergency workers responding to the attacks.
Meanwhile, Moscow claims its air defense systems intercepted several Ukrainian drones aimed at the Russian capital, as both sides continue large-scale aerial operations despite announcing separate temporary ceasefires on different dates.
The renewed escalation has raised fresh doubts over ongoing diplomatic efforts, with analysts warning that continued strikes on energy infrastructure and major cities could further destabilize the region and deepen the conflict. The Russia-Ukraine war remains one of the world’s most closely watched conflicts, with global concerns growing over security, energy supplies, and the fragile ceasefire process.
