Portugal Storm Kristin 140kmh Winds Destruction Ingrid Joseph Extreme Weather

Storm Kristin battered Portugal with violent winds reaching 140km/h, coming on the heels of the already devastating Ingrid and Joseph systems. The powerful storm tore through communities overnight, leaving a trail of destruction as structures were demolished, roofs were ripped off and sent airborne, and cars were overturned by the force of the gusts.

Large sections of power infrastructure collapsed, triggering widespread outages and disrupting daily life as parts of the cityscape appeared transformed by the extreme weather. Authorities launched a major damage assessment as dozens of residents were reported directly affected by the storm’s impact.

Emergency response teams were quickly mobilized, and cleanup operations are now underway as Portugal faces what many are calling a historic storm trifecta. Dramatic footage circulating from the affected areas has captured the storm’s destructive power, as the wider European weather crisis continues to unfold.
