Palestinian journalists were reportedly hit with tear gas as Israeli forces moved to disperse a protest near a newly established settler outpost in the occupied West Bank, raising fresh concerns about press safety and escalating tensions. The incident occurred close to Deir Jarir near Ramallah, where videos shared online showed clashes, smoke, and efforts to push back demonstrators.

Journalists covering the protest said they were targeted despite identifying themselves as media, sparking renewed debate over freedom of the press in conflict zones. The latest reports also highlight broader unrest in the area and the risks faced by non‑combatants during rapidly unfolding confrontations.
