A major escalation was witnessed in western Ukraine as the city of Ternopil came under a large-scale daytime drone attack. According to emerging reports, more than 50 drones were detected in the skies, triggering multiple explosions that rattled the region and forced residents to rush for safety. Local authorities confirmed that at least 10 to 12 people were injured in the assault, while several industrial and critical infrastructure sites sustained damage.
Parts of the city also experienced temporary power outages as emergency response teams were deployed to manage the situation and prevent further risks. Officials urged residents to remain indoors, stay alert, and avoid areas where debris from intercepted drones could fall.
The incident highlights the growing intensity of drone warfare in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War, where aerial attacks are increasingly targeting not just frontline zones but also deeper urban areas.
This latest strike raises fresh concerns over civilian safety, infrastructure vulnerability, and the expanding reach of long-range drone operations, as global observers continue to monitor the situation closely.
