After regulation play ended tied, the game moved into overtime. Myles Turner opened the extra period with a three-pointer, instantly energizing the Bucks. This set the tone for the remainder of the overtime. Although Miles Bridges answered back for the Hornets with a quick floater, Turner followed up with another three-pointer, paving the way for an 8-0 scoring run that allowed Milwaukee to seize control. The Hornets also showcased impressive performances, with Miles Bridges and rookie Kon Knueppel each contributing 32 points, providing Charlotte a fighting chance from the outset. They even led by 10 points in the first half but struggled to sustain it against Milwaukee’s depth. The defeat marked the Hornets' fourth loss in five games, emphasizing their ongoing challenges with consistency despite their individual talents.
After missing five games due to an ankle injury, LaMelo Ball returned to the lineup, making an immediate impact with 16 points and 10 assists, aiding Charlotte’s competitiveness.
