At the directive of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, His Highness Sayyid Dr. Fahad bin Al Julanada Al Said, Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), will preside over the final of the 55th edition of His Majesty the Sultan’s Hockey Cup 2025. The prestigious event is scheduled for Monday, 10th November, at Oman Hockey Stadium in Al-Amerat, beginning at 7:00 PM. The tournament represents the pinnacle of Omani hockey, showcasing top-tier talent and the spirit of national sportsmanship.

His Majesty the Sultan’s Hockey Cup holds a special place in Oman’s sporting calendar. As one of the nation’s oldest and most respected sports tournaments, it reflects the country’s deep commitment to developing hockey and promoting athletic excellence. Over the years, the Cup has become a key platform for Omani clubs to display their skills, teamwork, and determination, while also inspiring young athletes to pursue the sport.

This year’s final rounds feature eight prominent clubs from across the Sultanate — Ahli Sidab, A’Seeb, Al-Amerat, Salalah, Qurayat, Dhofar, Sohar, and Masirah. These teams will compete for the prestigious title through a series of exciting matches. The lineup reflects the geographical diversity and competitive spirit of Omani hockey, with clubs representing various regions of the country.

The final rounds commence this evening with two thrilling encounters. The first match will see Ahli Sidab take on Masirah at 6:00 PM, followed by an exciting clash between Salalah and Dhofar at 8:00 PM. The matches are expected to draw strong attendance from hockey fans, with supporters eagerly cheering for their local teams.

The competition continues on Monday with two key matches — A’Seeb will face Sohar at 6:00 PM, followed by Al-Amerat playing Qurayat at 8:00 PM. On Tuesday, Ahli Sidab will meet Dhofar at 6:00 PM, while Masirah faces Salalah at 8:00 PM. These matches will set the tone for the semi-final rounds, as teams fight hard for a place in the top four.

Wednesday’s fixtures will see A’Seeb take on Qurayat at 6:00 PM, followed by a competitive clash between Sohar and Al-Amerat at 8:00 PM. Fans can expect close contests as each team seeks to secure crucial victories. On Thursday, Dhofar will meet Masirah at 6:00 PM, followed by a match between Salalah and Ahli Sidab at 8:00 PM, both of which could determine semifinal positions.

The concluding matches of the final round are scheduled for Friday, featuring Qurayat versus Sohar at 6:00 PM and Al-Amerat against A’Seeb at 8:00 PM. These final encounters are likely to be decisive in shaping the semi-final lineups. The semi-finals are set for Saturday, 9th November, while the grand final will take place on Sunday, 10th November at the Oman Hockey Stadium.

All final round, semi-final, and final matches will be hosted at the Oman Hockey Stadium in Al-Amerat. The state-of-the-art venue, known for its modern facilities and excellent playing conditions, will provide the perfect setting for the intense competition. The event is expected to attract large crowds, including hockey fans, officials, and representatives from national sports associations.
