UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation Unveils 24/7 Assist Lines for Championship

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation has introduced two dedicated 24-hour support hotlines as part of its commitment to athletes and spectators during the 17th Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, hosted at Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City. This marks a historic first for the championship, demonstrating the Federation’s focus on enhancing communication, support, and overall comfort for all involved.

His Excellency Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, stated that these hotlines will remain operational throughout the championship. They aim to assist both local fans and international competitors who have traveled from around the globe for this significant sporting occasion.

Al Dhaheri expressed the Federation’s desire to ensure that every participant feels supported, enabling rapid resolution of any queries or concerns. The hotline service facilitates inquiries regarding event schedules, logistics, venue access, accommodation, and various needs of athletes and visitors, significantly enhancing the overall championship experience and bolstering the Federation’s reputation for excellence and hospitality.

This year’s Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship stands out as one of the largest martial arts events globally, attracting over 10,000 athletes from more than 130 nations—marking its most diverse edition to date. This impressive turnout highlights the increasing global enthusiasm for Jiu-Jitsu and underscores Abu Dhabi’s pivotal role as a destination for the sport.

The implementation of round-the-clock support lines underlines the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation’s commitment to smooth operations throughout the event. Al Dhaheri pointed out that this service benefits both competitors and fans seeking information about match attendance and facility access at Mubadala Arena.

Additionally, he mentioned that 70 volunteers of various ages are actively participating in the championship, stationed at key areas such as entrances, seating, practice zones, and information desks to assist athletes, officials, and guests. Their dedication is aimed at ensuring a seamless event for everyone involved.

These trained volunteers are equipped to handle diverse situations and are backed by the new hotline system, allowing them instant access to the event management team for any needed assistance. This strategic combination of on-ground support and digital service aims to provide exceptional customer care throughout the championship.

The Federation reiterated its mission to establish Abu Dhabi as a global hub for Jiu-Jitsu. By showcasing large-scale events and offering professional support services, the organization continues to elevate the city’s status as the “World Capital of Jiu-Jitsu.”

Al Dhaheri also emphasized the importance of technology and streamlined organization in the success of this championship, highlighting the introduction of advanced digital systems for registration, scheduling, and communication that facilitate efficient coordination among teams and officials. The hotline initiative exemplifies the use of innovation to enhance both participant and spectator experiences.

These hotlines will remain operational for the entirety of the competition and beyond, until all teams conclude their participation. Feedback gathered will assist the Federation in refining future events and better understanding the needs of athletes and fans.

Recognized for gathering elite talent, the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship promotes core values like sportsmanship, discipline, and respect intrinsic to Jiu-Jitsu. The Federation’s latest initiative guarantees a welcoming and organized environment for all participants.

As the championship unfolds, thousands of competitors vie for medals, prestige, and honor. The Federation's ongoing efforts to provide world-class facilities and services reflect the UAE’s commitment to promoting excellence in sports and unmatched hospitality on a global level.

The introduction of these 24-hour hotlines at this event showcases the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation’s continuous innovation and dedication to supporting its international sporting community with professionalism and care.
