Trade ties between the United Arab Emirates and Italy have strengthened notably, with recent figures showing faster growth and deeper cooperation across energy, technology and sustainability sectors.
At ADIPEC 2025, Italy highlighted an expanding relationship with the UAE—Italian shipments to the Emirates climbed 18 percent this year, while exports of oil and gas technologies surged by more than 45 percent.
The trend signals a shift beyond conventional trade into collaboration on innovation and low‑carbon solutions. Italian industrial know‑how is increasingly being matched with UAE plans for renewables, green hydrogen and other decarbonisation initiatives.
Italy’s strong presence at the conference reflected strategic business intent as well as broader market planning. The UAE’s position as a logistics and investment hub is drawing Italian firms seeking to expand into Africa and Southeast Asia, and recent Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements have reinforced the UAE’s role as a gateway for global commerce.
With both countries prioritising sustainable growth and technological progress, the 2025 uptick points to a longer‑term partnership centred on innovation, investment and shared economic opportunity.
