Blue Origin’s New Glenn heavy‑lift rocket suffered a catastrophic failure during a pre‑launch hotfire test at the Cape Canaveral Space Station in Florida, triggering an explosion on the launch pad. The company confirmed that all personnel were safe, and that an investigation into the anomaly is underway.

Spectators nearby captured dramatic footage showing the sky turn bright orange and observing a loud boom as the rocket test ended in failure.
