A drone attack damaged an apartment building in Russia’s Orenburg after the end of a ceasefire linked to the Ukraine conflict, raising fresh concerns over the expanding reach of cross-border strikes. According to Russian regional officials, the building was damaged while a UAV attack was being repelled.
Emergency teams reached the site, residents were evacuated, and officials said no casualties were reported. Reports said the roof and windows of the high-rise were damaged during the incident.
The attack comes as Russia and Ukraine continue trading long-range drone and missile strikes, with residential areas and critical infrastructure increasingly caught in the conflict.
