Jordan says its air defence systems intercepted eight missiles launched from Iran toward its territory, reporting no casualties or material damage. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed the missiles targeted a U.S.-linked command-and-control centre and air base in Al-Azraq, Jordan, as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to rise across the region. The latest exchange has added fresh concern over the wider Middle East crisis, with Jordan warning that it will not allow any violation of its airspace.
