Israel Strikes Beirut Suburb Days After US-Brokered Ceasefire | Lebanon Tensions Rise

Israel carried out airstrikes on the southern outskirts of Beirut, marking the first such attack since a US-backed ceasefire proposal for Lebanon was announced last week. The strike has raised fresh concerns about the stability of the truce and the risk of renewed escalation in the region.

The attack comes amid ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran-backed groups operating in Lebanon.

International observers have warned that any further escalation could complicate diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing a wider regional conflict.
