Israel Targets Hamas Military Leader Izz al-Din al-Haddad in Gaza City Strike

Tensions in Gaza have escalated again after Israel said it carried out an airstrike targeting Izz al-Din al-Haddad, the head of Hamas’ military wing, in Gaza City. Israeli officials described al-Haddad as a key figure linked to the October 7 attacks, but Hamas has not confirmed whether he was killed or injured.

Palestinian health officials said at least seven people, including a child and women, were killed and dozens injured after strikes hit a residential building and a vehicle in Gaza City’s al-Rimal area. The attack comes during a fragile U.S.-brokered ceasefire, raising fresh concerns over whether truce efforts can survive the latest escalation.
