Kurds Cross Snowy Turkey Syria Border Rojava Defense Thousands Chant Solidarity

Thousands of Kurds in northern Kurdistan, Turkey, have stormed snowy border barriers leading into Syria’s Rojava region to defend against Syrian government territorial advances. Massive crowds breached fences on foot and in vehicles, chanting in solidarity with Kurdish resistance fighters. Coordination efforts include cross-border support for the strategic reinforcement of the Rojava autonomous administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces.

The escalation comes amid intensified Assad regime offensives targeting Kurdish-populated territories. The mobilization has involved mass migration of fighters and ethnic militias, highlighting transnational solidarity networks in the Middle East. The Turkish-Syrian border has become a hotspot amid the ongoing proxy conflict.
