Kuwait Foils Attempt to Export 2,236 Subsidized Food Items to Sri Lanka Kuwait Customs has seized 2,236 subsidized food items from six 40-foot containers at Shuwaikh Port before they could be exported to Sri Lanka. The seized supplies included 787 packets of pasta, 435 bottles of Dalal oil, 349 bags of flour, 323 cans of tomato paste, 211 cans of milk, along with rice, lentils, sugar and vegetable ghee. Authorities said the operation is part of efforts to safeguard Kuwait’s food security, protect strategic stocks and ensure subsidized goods reach their intended beneficiaries. The case has been referred to the relevant authorities for further legal procedures.
