Netanyahu Says Israel Must End Dependence On U.S. Weapons

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for greater military self-reliance, saying Israel must reduce its dependence on U.S. weapons and strengthen its own arms production capabilities.

Speaking to reserve combat officers, Netanyahu praised American support but said Israel’s long-term security depends on building domestic defense systems, advanced technology and future military leadership. His remarks come as U.S.-Iran diplomacy continues in Switzerland, adding fresh focus to Israel’s security strategy and regional tensions.
