Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has doubled down on Israel’s stance against Tehran’s nuclear ambitions, saying “as long as I am Prime Minister, Iran will not have nuclear weapons.” Netanyahu made the comments during a policy summit in Jerusalem, stressing that Israel’s security posture remains firm regardless of ongoing negotiations between the U.S. and Iran.
He added that Israel and the United States are in “complete agreement” on preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear arms. The remarks come amid delicate diplomacy over Iran’s nuclear program and a tentative ceasefire framework involving multiple parties.
