Oman Customs Seizes 5,900+ Cigarette Cartons And 400kg Of Tobacco In Seeb

Oman Customs has uncovered a major smuggling operation in the Wilayat of Seeb, seizing more than 5,900 cartons of cigarettes and over 400 kilograms of tobacco derivatives during a targeted enforcement operation. According to officials, the contraband was discovered inside a residential property, a commercial shop, and a vehicle linked to individuals of Asian nationality.

The seizure was carried out by Oman Customs' Compliance and Risk Assessment Department as part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal trade and protect public revenue. Authorities continue to strengthen inspections and enforcement measures across the Sultanate to curb smuggling activities and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
