Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has begun a four‑day official visit to China from May 23 to 26 for high‑level talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, aimed at strengthening the “All‑Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership” between the two countries.
The visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of Pakistan‑China diplomatic relations and will cover economic cooperation, trade, investment, joint development under the China‑Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), strategic coordination, and regional stability efforts.
Sharif is also expected to chair a business forum in Hangzhou and engage with major Chinese firms to boost bilateral ties. Officials say this landmark trip is designed to deepen political trust, expand economic collaboration and reinforce shared goals in technology, agriculture, industrial cooperation, and people‑to‑people exchanges.
