Putin Arrives In Beijing As China Balances US And Russia Ties

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Beijing for high-level talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, just days after US President Donald Trump’s China visit. The timing has drawn global attention, as Beijing appears to be carefully balancing its relationship with Washington while strengthening its strategic partnership with Moscow.

The talks are expected to focus on trade, energy cooperation, and wider geopolitical issues, as Russia looks to deepen ties with China amid continuing Western sanctions. China remains one of Russia’s most important trade and energy partners, especially since Moscow’s relations with the West deteriorated after the Ukraine war.
