Putin Offers $1 Billion Trump Board of Peace Permanent Seat Russia Assets

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that Moscow is prepared to contribute $1 billion to secure permanent membership in U.S. President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” initiative. The funds could potentially come from frozen Russian assets in the United States.

Putin instructed the Russian Foreign Ministry to prepare a detailed proposal, including analysis and coordination with potential partners. The initiative involves a three-year period of free participation, with a permanent seat contingent upon the $1 billion commitment.

The announcement underscores Moscow’s interest in multilateral innovation and UN-centric peacebuilding, despite ongoing tensions over the Ukraine war. The move aims to foster diplomatic engagement with the United States and advance international stability through global conflict resolution, including efforts in Gaza reconstruction. The discussion was highlighted during a recent Security Council meeting, signaling prospects for cooperation between Washington and Moscow on global peace initiatives.
