Russia‑Belarus Joint Nuclear Drills: Yars, Zircon & Kinzhal Show of Force

Russia and Belarus have concluded large‑scale joint nuclear force drills involving land, sea, and air units — demonstrating a range of strategic weapons including intercontinental ballistic missiles (Yars), hypersonic missiles (Zircon), submarine‑launched ballistic missiles, MiG‑31 jets equipped with Kinzhal missiles, and nuclear‑capable systems.

The exercises involved tens of thousands of troops, strategic submarines, aircraft, and missile launchers as both countries showcased their readiness in the face of rising global tensions and continued conflict in Eastern Europe. Russian President Vladimir Putin said the objectives were fully achieved alongside Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, underscoring the depth of their strategic partnership amid heightened security concerns with NATO and Ukraine.
