Russian Drone Hits Romanian Apartment Building Near Ukraine Border

A Russian drone struck a residential apartment building in Galați, Romania, near the Ukrainian border, injuring two people and causing significant damage to the structure. Romanian authorities said emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, extinguishing a fire and evacuating residents.

The incident has raised fresh concerns about the spillover effects of the Russia-Ukraine war into neighboring NATO countries. Romania condemned the drone strike and launched an investigation into the incident. The development comes amid continued Russian drone attacks targeting Ukrainian infrastructure close to Romania's border, increasing regional security concerns.
