SEK Police Storm Dortmund Nordstadt: Massive Raid Linked to Hagen Homicide

Germany's elite SEK (Spezialeinsatzkommando) special police forces carried out a large-scale tactical operation in the Nordstadt district of Dortmund, targeting individuals suspected of involvement in a homicide investigation that originated in nearby Hagen.

Heavily armed SEK units established full street cordons, deployed armored vehicles, and brought in technical surveillance and negotiation teams, creating a comprehensive security perimeter across the area. The operation unfolded amid heightened alert levels across major cities in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The high-risk deployment highlighted SEK's advanced urban assault capabilities, which are typically reserved for armed barricades, hostage crises, and the apprehension of highly dangerous fugitives. Officers were equipped with full protective gear, breaching tools, and specialized perimeter security measures, effectively transforming the residential neighborhood into an active operations zone.

Local residents reported helicopter overflights and emergency evacuations as the manhunt continued for suspects linked to the fatal Hagen killing.
