A tragic school shooting in Türkiye’s southeastern Kahramanmaraş province has left the country in shock after a 14-year-old student entered Ayser Çalık Secondary School armed with five guns and seven magazines, opening fire inside the campus.
Authorities say nine people were killed in the attack — including eight students and one teacher — while 13 others were injured. The attacker died at the scene.
Disturbing video footage shows students desperately escaping by jumping out of windows as gunfire erupted, with panic spreading throughout the school.
This marks the second school shooting in Türkiye within just two days, sparking renewed concerns over school safety and prompting urgent calls for stronger security measures as investigators continue to examine the motive and circumstances behind the attack.
