A massive fire broke out in Russia's Dagestan region after three explosions struck a major gas pipeline near the town of Kizilyurt in the North Caucasus. According to Russia's emergency authorities, the blasts occurred on a 1,200-mm trunk gas pipeline, sending huge flames and thick smoke into the sky.
Emergency response teams were quickly deployed and managed to bring the fire under control, preventing further damage.
