Two U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler jets collided mid-air during the Gunfighter Skies Air Show at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, shocking spectators as both aircraft crashed near the base. Officials said all four crew members ejected safely and were in stable condition after the incident.
The aircraft were from Electronic Attack Squadron 129 based at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, and the collision happened during an aerial demonstration. The remaining air show was cancelled, the base was placed under lockdown, and the Navy has launched an investigation into the crash.
