The US Air Force has deployed more than 12 F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets from RAF Lakenheath in the United Kingdom toward the Middle East, in what is being viewed as a clear show-of-force mission amid rising regional tensions involving Iran.
The movement was supported by KC-135 Stratotanker aerial refueling aircraft operating out of RAF Mildenhall, highlighting the US military’s ability to rapidly shift combat power across long distances.
