FNC Chairman Meets Niger Speaker to Boost Bilateral Ties

Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the UAE Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council (FNC) to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), met with Dr. Mamoudou Harouna Djingarey, Speaker of the Advisory Council for the Refoundation in Niger. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 151st IPU Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, and focused on enhancing parliamentary cooperation between the two nations.

During the discussions, both sides explored ways to develop parliamentary relations between their councils. They highlighted the importance of increasing parliamentary participation, exchanging views, and coordinating positions on issues of mutual interest. These measures aim to improve collaboration and understanding between UAE and Niger legislators.

The meeting also covered opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation beyond parliamentary matters. Both sides expressed interest in developing partnerships in economic growth, investment projects, and youth empowerment. The discussions reflected a shared commitment to working together to achieve mutual benefits in various areas of national development.

Dr. Al Nuaimi and Dr. Djingarey emphasized sustainable development as a key area of future cooperation. They discussed initiatives that could support long-term growth and development in both countries, with a focus on innovation, social progress, and capacity building. These efforts aim to create stronger institutional frameworks and improve quality of life for citizens.

Both leaders expressed optimism about the potential for continued engagement between the UAE and Niger. By strengthening parliamentary dialogue and coordinating policies on regional and global issues, the two countries aim to create a foundation for lasting partnerships in governance, economic growth, and sustainable development.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to further explore cooperative projects and maintain close communication. Both sides agreed to continue building strong parliamentary ties and to work together on initiatives that promote economic, social, and political collaboration between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Niger.
