UAE and Egypt Strengthen Cooperation in Legal Sector

Hamad Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, met with Egyptian Minister of Justice Adnan Fangary at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting aimed to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in legal and judicial fields and highlighted the strategic partnership between the two countries.

During the discussions, both sides emphasized the importance of deepening collaboration in areas of mutual interest. Hamad Al Zaabi highlighted the UAE and Egypt’s longstanding fraternal and strategic relations and stressed the commitment of both nations to enhance partnerships in the legal sector. The discussions reflected a shared goal of modernizing judicial practices and sharing expertise.

Al Zaabi pointed out the significance of e-litigation and the digital transformation of judicial services as key priorities. Both countries aim to implement advanced digital systems to ensure faster case resolution and streamline legal procedures. He stressed that adopting technology in the legal system will simplify processes and make courts more accessible and efficient for citizens and businesses.

Minister Fangary praised the historical relations between Egypt and the UAE and welcomed efforts to strengthen collaboration in legal and judicial matters. He commended the progress made in modernizing judicial systems in both nations, noting that the exchange of expertise and experience will contribute to more effective and transparent legal procedures.

The meeting underscored the benefits of sharing knowledge and best practices in judicial administration. By working together, the UAE and Egypt can enhance the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of their legal systems. The discussions also reflected the broader strategic partnership between the two nations, which spans political, economic, and social cooperation.

Both sides expressed eagerness to continue collaborative efforts and explore new initiatives in the legal field. The focus will remain on technology-driven solutions, improving judicial efficiency, and fostering a strong framework for legal cooperation.
