In a gripping NBA showdown, the Milwaukee Bucks narrowly overcame the Toronto Raptors. The match featured an impressive 17 lead changes in the initial three quarters, with both teams locked at 86-86 as they entered the final quarter. Brandon Ingram shone for the Raptors, scoring 29 points, while RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley contributed 20 and 19 points, respectively.
As the fourth quarter unfolded, the Bucks surged ahead after Anthony spearheaded an 8-0 run, pushing Milwaukee to a 103-99 advantage. The Raptors fought back, with Barrett’s pivotal inside shot tying the game at 105 with 5:45 remaining. However, Trent’s crucial 3-pointer at 3:16 granted the Bucks a more solid four-point lead.
Adding to the scoreboard, Anthony made a jumper with 2:23 left, extending Milwaukee's lead to 115-110, followed by a layup shortly after, resulting in a 117-111 scoreline. In the closing moment, despite the Raptors narrowing the gap to 118-114, Trent's second 3-pointer sealed the Bucks' win.
Milwaukee jumped to a strong start with a 17-6 run, ending the first quarter with a 27-19 lead, largely thanks to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 12 points on flawless shooting. Toronto capitalized while Antetokounmpo was resting and staged a 16-4 run, taking a 35-33 lead midway through the second quarter, which extended to a 42-35 advantage.
The Bucks struggled with 13 turnovers in the first half, their highest since 2022, allowing Toronto to build momentum. Yet, a timely 3-pointer from Trent before halftime reduced the Raptors' lead to 54-52, ensuring the game remained highly competitive. Antetokounmpo finished the first half with 16 points and nine rebounds, standing out as Milwaukee’s sole player in double figures.
This game underscored the fierce rivalry between the Bucks and Raptors, highlighted by numerous lead shifts and key individual contributions. Standout performances by Ingram, Barrett, Anthony, Trent, and Antetokounmpo played a pivotal role in the tightly contested encounter, with the Bucks' tenacity and crucial shooting at the end proving critical.
