North Macedonia made a notable entrance at the Global Food Week held at ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, highlighting a selection of traditional Balkan delicacies designed to offer UAE consumers a unique culinary experience. This marks the nation's inaugural participation, aimed at showcasing its authentic gastronomic culture while attracting local distributors and food lovers in search of true flavors.
Guests visiting North Macedonia’s pavilion enjoyed an eye-catching display of cheeses, fruits, vegetables, and preserves, representing the nation's enduring tradition in genuine food production. Best Food – Gjorgiev Dairy showcased its signature mixed cow and sheep milk cheeses, renowned for their unique notes, attributed to the region's plentiful sunshine and rich soil.
Altera Food, another participant from North Macedonia, presented a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits, including pickled products, appetizers, and low-sugar fruit jams. These agricultural products thrive in areas that experience approximately 300 days of sunshine each year, enhancing their flavor and quality.
This participation underscores the country's goal to introduce Balkan tastes within the UAE marketplace, offering high-quality products steeped in tradition and authenticity. Additionally, it paves the way for possible collaborations with local distributors and importers, bringing North Macedonia's flavors closer to the Gulf region.
