Chicago Students Walk Out to Protest ICE | Nationwide School Walkout Gains Momentum

Hundreds of students from across Chicago gathered at Federal Plaza on Tuesday to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as part of a National School Walkout.

The young demonstrators left their classrooms to express opposition to immigration enforcement policies, chanting slogans and displaying signs demanding reform, accountability, and protections for immigrant communities.

Organizers said the walkout underscores growing concern among students about the effects of immigration practices on families and communities, reflecting a wider wave of youth-led activism taking place in cities across the United States.
